the present perfect tense

The present perfect tense is used when the time period has not finished: like;

I have seen three film this month.
( as you see this week has not completed yet.)

The present perfect tense is often used when the time is not mentioned: like;
John has failed his exam again.

we didn't know that John was gonna fail with his exam!

The present perfect tense is often used when the time is recent:

Marry has just arrived in Panama
Marry just came to Panama!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The present perfect tense is often used with for and since.

  Kadir has lived here for 21 years.
Kadir has lived here since 1977.
So Kadir lived in a place for 21 years and Kadir lived there since 1977!
